Research and analysis for a sovereign, self-determining Sabah.

ABOUT US

Sabah in-Depth (SiD) is a political and economic analysis portal focused exclusively on Sabah. We examine power structures, federal-state relations, and economic policy with rigour and intellectual honesty. Every piece published here follows the money, documents mechanisms, and asks who benefits from current arrangements.

Our analysis draws on distributist economics, subsidiarity principles, and constitutional frameworks, particularly the restoration of Sabah’s rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963. We also examine Sabah’s position within shifting global power structures, including dedollarisation, BRICS expansion, and multipolar realignment. The standard of scrutiny does not change depending on who is in the dock.

SiD is founded and edited by Tracy Patrick, a Sabahan former journalist and political writer. SiD operates with a small editorial team producing analysis built to last, not to trend. We publish in English to reach Sabah’s policy and business community. If this work is useful to you, we welcome your support.
